Our Story

Echols Law Group, P.C. was founded in 1995 by Ted N. Echols. He is a member of the Henry County Bar Association and practices in the local, state, and federal courts in Georgia. He currently serves as Associate Judge in the City of McDonough and as a part-time Magistrate Judge. He has also served as Judge Pro Tem for Henry County State Court and as Chief Judge for the City of Stockbridge Municipal Court.

Ted hosts a weekly radio show, LegalWise with Ted Echols, where he answers legal questions from within the community. He also hosts free weekly estate planning workshops, where he addresses the estate planning essentials, as well as asset protection.

Ted is a graduate of the University of Georgia Lumpkin School of Law and a Magna Cum Laude graduate with high honors of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. While at UGA, Ted served as a Senator on the Student Government, President of the Honors Program Student Association, a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Blue Key Society.

He is married and has four children. He is a worship leader at his local church and has served as an attorney coach for a local school’s mock trial team. Ted is actively involved in his community. He is a graduate of Leadership Henry and Leadership Bryan, served as the Moderator of the Henry Baptist Association, and continues to serve as a deacon at his church.

Ted currently holds the designation of “Certified Christian Conciliator” from the Institute of Christian Conciliation. Ted has assisted various organizations and individuals in alternative dispute resolution. In addition, Ted has taught conflict resolution seminars locally and internationally.
